therapy with me
The Therapeutic Experience
I believe that therapy is a place where you can put your protective armor down and have permission to be your most authentic self.
Healing our wounds can be a sad, heavy, painful, enlightening, compassionate, and forgiving journey. I believe that in order to come to a place of peace within ourselves, we must look back on our life’s timeline and work through the parts of ourselves that feel most heavy and hurt. If we are able to examine our hurt, then finally we can heal. Through healing, we can create new loving, authentic, and healthy patterns for ourselves and in our relationships.
how we can work together
I find it most productive and comfortable when working in a collaborative and conversational manner, where you are the leader and I am the listener, helping to provide insight and awareness where it has maybe not been recognized before. I am typically drawn to working from a Person-Centered approach, providing empathy and understanding as well as working to truly meet you where you are at in your healing journey.
I often find it helpful to add some structure in treatment as well and will utilize a Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) approach by challenging negative thought patterns and setting achievable goals that help you grow rather than feel discouraged.
My experience
Helping others has always been a passion of mine and is what ultimately drew me to the field of therapy. Over the years, I’ve learned that meaningful connection and providing a compassionate, nonjudgmental space can be deeply impactful in the healing process.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State University, Channel Islands in 2017. Early in my professional journey, I gained experience working with children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related diagnoses through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This work helped shape my foundational clinical skills and strengthened my ability to approach each individual with patience, attunement, and respect for their unique needs.
I went on to earn my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from California Lutheran University in 2020. During my graduate training, I provided counseling services through California Lutheran University’s Community Counseling Services, where I worked with adults, couples, and adolescents navigating a wide range of emotional and relational concerns.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and have been working in a private practice setting for over five years, primarily providing individual therapy to adults. My current clinical focus centers on working with women who are experiencing anxiety, relationship challenges, and meaningful life transitions. I also frequently support women navigating perinatal and postpartum mental health concerns and am actively working toward a certification in perinatal mental health. In my work, I strive to help clients gain deeper insight, gently process past experiences, and collaboratively create new patterns that feel aligned with their values and most authentic selves.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready to better understand yourself and the changes you’re moving through, therapy can be a supportive place to begin. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you navigate this season of your life.
